Adding Welcome Message for SSH Login

You add a message to all SSH logins on your VPS or Dedicated Server. This is useful if more people will be using SSH on your VPS or Server.

To add a custom message to display upon SSH Login on your VPS or Server, follow the below steps:

  1. Using Putty login to SSH with your root username and password

  2. Type in the command 'pico /etc/motd'

  3. Enter your custom message

An example of a message to display could be:

Individuals using this system without authority or in excess of their authority are subject to having all their services revoked. Any illegal services run by user or attempts to take down this server or its services will be reported to local law enforcement, and said user will be punished to the full extent of the law.
