Business Development Officer (Kickstart Scheme)

The day-to-day role of a Business Development Specialist will involve talking to prospective new clients, so a tenacious, can-do attitude, along with an outgoing personality, is a must. Some of your day will be spent generating leads and contacts, and then it will be time to get talking! Mainly over the telephone, you will be required to contact business owners and decision makers to scope their current IT setup, and see if Switch My Server can provide a more superior service, or strengthen their business methods through IT.
The role will be mostly home based during the pandemic, and then flexible afterwards, so the ideal candidate will take ownership of their workload, enjoying the freedom to manage their own time but ensuring their input remains consistent. They will thrive off the positive interactions but won’t take to heart a negative one. We want to hear from you if you’ve had previous experience of working in a call centre, or door-to door, retail or telephone sales. In addition, if you’ve got good understanding of IT, that would be advantageous. In return, you’ll receive full training, paid development time and a generous holiday entitlement.
